Top of Twillingate Trail

A perfect uphill hike to the “Top of Twillingate.” Part boardwalk, part woods trail. A climb to the top of the hill provides a view of the entire island of Twillingate. It’s a remarkable nature walk and bird watching area.

* Completing this walk involves vigorous uphill trekking so please assess your fitness level accordingly before you go and take plenty to drink.

Some important highlights:

– dry trail with some up hill areas
– lookout platforms at various areas
– 18 1/2ft. tower at the top of trail
– top of trail 327ft. above sea level
– new boardwalk around “low mist pond”
– new community flower garden
– tiolet facilities near trails’ cabin
– in summer season,students work on trail
– canteen will be open at cabin when students working
– walking time approx. 1 -11/2 hours
