National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Each year, September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Boil Water Advisory is Lifted
Please be advised that the “Boil Water Advisory” is lifted. The Town was notified by the provincial government, that as of 2:10pm, Friday, September 13th, 2024, the “Boil Water Advisory” has been removed. We thank all residents and businesses for their patience and support.
Notice of Adoption and Public Hearing
A Public Hearing with an Independent Commissioner is scheduled to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Plan and Development Regulations amendments at the Twillingate Town Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024. These amendments would re-designate and re-zone land located at 45 Upper Jenkins Cove Road from “Industrial” to “Residential” on the Future Land Use Map of the Municipal Plan, and re-zone the lands from “Marine and Industrial” to “Residential” on the Zoning Map of the Development Regulations. If you wish to make an objection or representation, or require more information, please review the below documents.
