The Town of Twillingate offers a number of recreation opportunities for residents and visitors at our various facilities. Whether you want to swim, curl, play hockey, basketball, or volleyball, we offer plenty of options for you and your family.
George Hawkins Memorial Arena
Our historic indoor arena was opened in 1968 and is home to the Twillingate Combines. Centrally located in the town, and surrounded by other amenities such as the playground, ball field, and schools, the George Hawkins Memorial Arena offers six dressing rooms, and a social/meeting room. Used not only for hockey and figure skating during the winter months, it is also the home base for the town’s annual Fish, Fun & Folk Festival during the summer.
