Town’s COVID-19 Message

Until further notice, effective immediately due to the ongoing concern over COVID-19, the Town of Twillingate will be taking the following precautionary measures to help protect the health of our community:

  • All events, programming and rentals at George Hawkins Memorial Arena are cancelled and/or postponed.
  • The Town Office is open to the public.  To enter, please knock on the door.  The entrance will remain locked, and one customer will be permitted in at a time.
  • Public Works Depot are closed to the public.
  • Residents are encouraged to communicate with staff via phone and/or email and payments can be made on-line or by mail.

We are prioritizing the health and safety of our residents and staff and strongly encourage everyone to do the same. Please follow the guidelines as set out by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador by visiting the following website: https://www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/. As per these guidelines, if you recently arrived from outside Newfoundland & Labrador and/or Canada, you are required to self-isolate, meaning stay home and do not go to work or school, and monitor for symptoms for 14 days after arrival in Canada.

If you have any health-related questions about COVID-19, please call 811.

We will continue to work closely with Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador, the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Government of Canada to stay current on this rapidly evolving situation and adapt accordingly.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the Town Office at 884-2438 or email us at k.dalley@townoftwillingate.ca.

Thank you.
